PLEASE FULL VIEW. the preview looks crappy.
here's my studies for the costume design of my support characters for my comic entitled chocopeppermintycoffee or CPMC. it's pretty rough but the main idea for each characters' clothing is clear enough for me. their footwear aren't final though.
half of them are new while the other half are just updated versions of previous characters that i keep on recycling.
new characters:
- Icko
- Pao
- Rafael
- Amaya
- Jini
- Alec
- Cisco
old(school) characters:
- Dei (who's unbelievably still alive as of this writing.
)
- Maika
- Tami
- Gab
- Markus
- Airis
- Ferds
interesting notes that i'd just like to share:
- Dei, Airis and Gab are my oldest character creations that are featured here.
- Dei is the oldest. My first ever deviation here in deviantArt was a drawing of her. and that was like 6-7 years ago. She looked like some piece of crapshit the first time i drew her. if only i realized back then that wasting my life by drawing this person alone would ruin my artistic career, i should have just drawn from my heart instead of impressing a girl. lesson learned. her color scheme here was left intact. i just made it a bit darker to signify maturity. her previous colors were much more 'candy-ish'.
- Airis's first version was named Ai. Yeah. such a corny name i gave her. she's Gab's 'hime' or princess or major crush.
- Gab is my bestest friend way back in high school. We're the ones who made 'pa-uso' or popularized (pakers naman o, ano ba inglish nian? popularized diba? malay. orz) comics in our school. we're both comic artists back then (w/c is a lame excuse just for us to draw our freakin' crushes aka 'hime' w/c is the japenese term for 'princess'. fuck that. such a waste of time.) we tried selling our comics which was... a failure.
- All these characters have their real-life counter parts (just like the assault team) except for Amaya which I created for the purpose of the story alone.

- Photoshop CS5 from start to finish. one whole week of on and off drawing.
- Arctic Monkeys + Beatles mode all throughout.

Love the diversity between the characters, not to mention their designs (clothes, hairstyles, et al)... like how the styles portrayed here are also fantastic yet grounded in reality, very comfortable & easy to coordinate while stylish. 
Also each individual seems to have their own quirk in terms of character; I think one would have a fun time or conversation with them.

I have a question though: Is CPMC the name of your OU (Original Universe & characters)? Are you planning a manga (comic) around these characters & setting?
